Tibet is a land of great diversity. Larger than all of Europe, Tibet's geographic diversity ranges from the high desert of the Chang Tang with it's nameless Himalaya to old growth, monkey ridden forests of the southeast. Huge inland lakes high in north west of Tibet give birth to Asia's mightiest rivers which feed these forests that cover virtually all of south east Tibet. Tibetans living in these regions have co-existed naturally in these landscapes, building monasteries and villages in amazingly diverse ways, always in harmony with the natural environment. Our landcruiser tours offer the rare opportunity to cross some of Tibet's most remote and inaccesible regions. Travel to these areas reveal thriving Buddhist monastic and lay communities in some of the planets most untouched landscapes. Our tours of Tibet can be customized so as to focus more on cultural sites or wilderness areas thus increasing or shorting the amount of trekking.
