Mt. Jomo Lhari - 7,314 Meters and Surrounding Unclimbed Peaks

Duration: 30 days
Months offered: Spring, Fall
Costs: From $5,500

Mt. Jomo Lhari rises to 7,313 meters. It is one of the most beautiful and unknown peaks in Tibet due to its location on the restricted China/Bhutan border. Surrounding this peak are many unclimbed summits that await climbers of all abilities. Jomo Lhari was first climbed from the Tibetan side in the early 20th century by Spenser Chapman. It did not see another ascent until the Japanese climbed it in 1996. Today this mystical peak and its neighbors are open to mountaineers seeking the ultimate in climbing adventure. Standing on the summit of these peaks one is afforded the rare opportunity to gaze south into the Kingdom of Bhutan or face north for unparalled views of the Tibetan plateau. High Asia's expeditions to these peaks can focus on the many unclimbed 6,000 meter peaks of the reigon or attempt the stupendous northface of Jomo Lhari as pictured here.
