Far from the maddening crowds that flock to Everest's south and north faces lie the unknown and unexplored ranges of Indo-Myanmar border. Indeed, no large peaks by Himalayan standards are found here. Yet, these glaciated 5,000-6,000 meter summits are truly Himalayan in scale as the climbing begins near sea level. High Asia has scouted several peaks in Kumon range which separates the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh from northern Myanmar. These peaks have no name and have never been properly measured. The climbing is totally exploratory as are the approaches.
